Blaser

After serious consideration, Alamo Sporting Arms is proud to announce the introduction of Blaser to their customers.  Blaser’s modern approach to the production process has produced high quality shotguns, bolt action rifles, and single shot rifles, without compromise to the traditionally high German standards for perfection.

. . . A Little History of BLASER . . .

Fifty years ago, gunsmith Horst Blaser recognized that hunting was changing and that rifle manufacturing needed to reach a higher level of quality and precision, yet remain affordable.  By inventing new manufacturing techniques and features that optimised function, durability and safety, he laid the cornerstone for modern-day weapon manufacturing technology.

Everyone involved in Blaser’s success shares an enthusiasm for hunting and an affinity for innovation in gun making. Key positions in the company, from those test-firing the weapons to the CEO, are held by active hunters and shotgunners who know from experience what the sport demands from their equipment.

Since Blaser first began manufacturing rifles, the safety of hunters and their companions has been a priority.  Not only do experts consider Blaser’s manual cocking system to be one of the safest in the world;  Blaser’s innovations in barrel, trigger and lock technology provide hunters with one of the most accurate hunting rifiles!

Equally important to Blaser is the reliability of their rifles even under extreme and dangerous conditions. Professional hunters on all continents consult with the Blaser team and execute rigorous testing on prototypes and line models. Before any innovation is added to the product range, it has to pass an extensive test program.

Easy handling, comfort and freedom of movement are also paramount to the Blaser development team. Thus, they created the term "huntability" standing for the sum of all these features.  Recognizing that hunters often travel to different hunting environments, even within their own country, Blaser designed its product line to be highly flexible.  Calibers can be changed quickly and easily, the wooden stock can be exchanged for a more robust synthetic stock, and the technology can be specialized in countless ways. Even customizing the rifle with engravings, precious root wood and other distinctive details is an important part of the Blaser culture. As a rule, most would claim that there is a Blaser to suit everyone. In reality, hunters all over the world associate Blaser with their most beloved activity: active hunting.

As the evolution between the hunter and the hunted continues, Blaser methodically refines their weapons with sensitivity for cultural values.

As an innovative company, Blaser was aware of a need in the shotgun world for an extremely reliable over/under shotgun, designed and built to the high standards for which Blaser has become synonymous.

When Blaser designs new hunting and sport guns, research and development is all-important and meticulous. The objective is to combine traditional values with the latest technology to create an over/under shotgun of superior function, design and distinction. In doing so, Blaser has enriched the lives of active shooters and hunters many times over.

Launched in October 2004, the F3 shotgun is a true success story, including huge successes in international competition after just one year after it’s introduction!

From the very first moment you see the F3, it is clear that everything about this shotgun is designed to win. The low receiver and masterful stock define its streamlined appearance and "shootability". The unique shape of the butt stock reflects thorough studies on body anatomy and movement.  It is perfectly formed and extremely accurate; a shotgun that invites you to shoot.
